Before there was an Ebola epidemic, before there was Instagram, Katie Meyler was writing stories about Liberian girls on Myspace -- and people were reading them. Some users were so inspired, they wired Meyler money to send Liberian girls to school. That was just the beginning.
Fast-forward almost a decade. She and her organization are highlighted in Time magazine and featured in other national news outlets for their heroic work during the Ebola epidemic in Liberia. The Daily Share's Yasmin Vossoughian spoke to Meyler about how she turned a dream on Myspace into an organization that is making a difference.
