A New Jersey mom will stop at nothing to help her son, and that includes moving across the country.
Jennie Stormes’ 15-year-old son, Jackson, has been diagnosed with Dravet Syndrome, a severe form of epilepsy. Stormes claims her son has had more than 50 failed medical treatments, but since beginning cannabidiol or CBD treatment, he is on a very low dose of just one pharmaceutical.
The problem? Getting access to medical marijuana in the correct CBD form to treat seizures. “I’m spending all my time fighting for my son instead of just being with him,” Stormes tells HLN. “My son is too important. That’s why we’re moving to Colorado.”
The Stormes family is leaving their home to ensure Jackson will have access to ongoing, legal cannabis treatment.
