Homeless teen beats odds, is valedictorian

Rashema Melson may have been dealt a tough hand of cards, but she is winning. The Washington, D.C., high school student overcame homelessness and gang violence to graduate as valedictorian this week from Anacostia High. She tells CNN affiliate WUSA, "The only way to make it through the storm is to go through it." Not only did she make it through, she made it to the top of her class and she earned a full scholarship to Georgetown University. Watch to learn more.
