Watch: Adult Swim's genius grown-ups

  • 'Squidbillies' on Adult Swim follows a family of mud squids in Georgia
  • The entire process of making an episode of the cartoon takes 3 to 4 months

Adult Swim is dominating primetime and late-night TV with its first-rate animation and edgy programming.

In April, Adult Swim was ranked the "No. 1 television network on basic cable for total day delivery of adults... 18-49," according to Zap2it. With their absurd and often crude humor, the fast-paced shows are capturing the attention of audiences that are up late and want to be entertained.

One of those shows is "Squidbillies." Each 11-minute episode follows the escapades of a family of redneck squids that live in Georgia. But those 11 minutes take three to four months to produce.

We caught up wit the writer/producers of the show Dave Willis and Jim Fortier to see what goes into making an episode of "Squidbillies."
