Exclusive: Driver in road rage 'karma' video speaks

NEED TO KNOW

  • Truck in video crashes after tailgating car

A stunning video of apparent road rage ends in a crash and goes viral.

A Florida woman, who asked not to be identified, says the driver of a pickup truck tailgated her for at least three minutes so she decided to pull out her phone and record it. She continues to drive down the road and video with the other hand while the truck drives closely behind her.

The driver of the pickup, who authorities identified as Jeffrey White, eventually speeds past her, flipping her off and then cuts in front of her. But then his truck swerves off the road and hits a pole.

Police say White then took off, but was later arrested for leaving the scene of a crash, careless driving and not wearing a seatbelt. The Florida woman posted the cellphone video, Redneck Road Rage/Instant Karma, on YouTube.

But now the attorney for White says the video doesn’t tell the whole story. He claims that she instigated the incident! So what really happened? Jane spoke to the woman who shot the now-viral video.
