'Simpsons' co-creator fights for dolphins

  • Sea Shepherd: more than 800 dolphins killed since September 1
  • Sam Simon is in the Cove crusading for Taiji's dolphins

The killing of dolphins continues in Taiji, Japan. Boats herd whole pods into ‘the cove’ where many are either taken for captivity or slaughtered.  The organization, Sea Shepherd, estimates more than 800 dolphins have been killed since Sept. 1.

Sam Simon, TV executive, co-creator of the iconic show ‘The Simpsons’, and hero to animal advocates is now in Taiji with Sea Shepherd.  Simon spoke to Jane about the what he is seeing in ‘the cove’.
