NYPD looking into 'unnecessary roughness' video

  • Cops are seen holding onto man's chest as he sits
  • When man tries to stand, cops tackle & cuff him

There's been a social media outcry as video was posted on Facebook of alleged police harassment.

The video picks up with an African-American man being held by police in New York City.

You can hear him plead with officers: "I have a bus ticket. I have an ID. Why are you still holding me?"

After two minutes, he tries to stand up and a scuffle ensues. Eventually, at least four officers bring him to the ground and cuff him.

New York Police Department says they are aware of the video and are looking into the incident.

Dariel Reyes is the man who shot the video and posted it online. He tells Jane Velez-Mitchell what he saw.
