No arms, no problem for this young trumpeter

  • 10-year-old Jahmir Wallace was born without arms
  • He now plays trumpet for his school's band

Jahmir Wallace, 10, is a boy who can do pretty much anything he wants, which is surprising considering what he doesn't have. Wallace was born without arms, but that hasn't stopped him from pursuing his dream of being a normal boy and playing in the band.

This year, Wallace started playing trumpet with his school band. The boy, who's inspired by his favorite musician Stevie Wonder, uses his feet to hit the valves.

Wallace told HLN affiliate WFMZ that he saw his older sister play piano and he thought, "maybe I should try an instrument. I thought maybe I could try and figure out new things.”
