Katie Armiger honors those who keep us 'Safe'

  • Rising country music star Katie Armiger performed on HLN News Now
  • Armiger's latest album "Fall Into Me" peaked at #7 on the Billboard Country Albums chart
  • Her latest single "Safe" and her Project Feel Safe campaign support first responders

HLN News Now caught a rising star today. Katie Armiger, 22, is one of the bright young newcomers in the country music world -- yet already a veteran, having recorded her first album seven years ago.

Armiger has tied the new single "Safe" off her hit CD "Fall On Me" to Project Feel Safe, a campaign designed to give the public an opportunity to give thanks and share their support for first responders in their communities.

The singer, called the "next big deal" by OK! Magazine and voted "Country Music's Hottest Bachelorette" twice by Country Weekly magazine's readers, performed "Safe" on HLN News Now. Take a listen.
