A Reddit tale of a rescue dog's road to recovery

  • Blaine Hale found Bran in rough shape after a flood
  • Bran's story was posted on Reddit and later went viral

Blaine Hale was driving home when he noticed a golden retriever without any tags sitting by a mailbox after a recent flood. Hale picked him up and noticed the dog, Bran, was in rough shape with over 200 ticks on his body. Through veterinary care and plenty of TLC, Bran slowly began to adjust to his new home.

Hale said he noticed that he had so many photos of Bran that told his life story that he decided to post them on Reddit. Within 24 hours, Hale's story was one of the most popular stories on the site.

HLN's Jennifer Westhoven talks with Hale and meets Bran, a pup with a incredible tale.
