They have worked together for over a decade, but this is the the first time Robin Meade and Russ Leatherman have ever been in the same place at the same time! Today, the two finally had a face-to-face in Hollywood!
All pleasantries aside, they call Russ Mr. Movieman for a reason, and he lived up to that title with reviews of three big films hitting screens this weekend:
- "Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom" - About this biopic that arrives just days after Mandela's death, Mr. Movieman says "I don't know if it was a great movie, but for me, it was a learning experience."
- "Saving Mr. Banks" - "Unbelievable cast. A spoon full of sugar kind of movie," says Mr. Movieman. Tom Hanks stars as Walt Disney trying to convince P. L. Travers, played by Emma Thompson, to let him make her book called "Mary Poppins" into a movie.
- "American Hustle" - The cast, the soundtrack, the costumes... The '70s come to life in this film that Mr. Movieman says is, "poppin'."
All in all Russ is "in" for all three of these flix, but if you have to choose just one he says, "[American Hustle] is definitely the movie to see this weekend."
