Lane Garrison is taking on the role of Buck Barrow in the new “Bonnie & Clyde” miniseries, and while Showbiz Tonight was going one-on-one with Garrison about the series he revealed to us some candid details about his own resurgence and how he credits the late Nelson Mandela with helping him deal with his own time behind bars.
“I actually read book [about Mandela] while I was doing time and I did two years in eight institutions,” Garrison tells Showbiz Tonight. “There were obviously a lot of dark days in there, but after reading his book, this was a man who did 27 years and came out on top and, you know, that’s something that inspires me in my daily life and my daily walk."
