Gaga goes gaga -- in love

  • Lady Gaga gushes about her actor boyfriend on 'Ellen'
  • Gaga has been dating 'Chicago Fire' star Taylor Kinney for two years

She's the most out-there star out there. She wears dresses that literally give her the ability to fly (that is, when she's not wearing meat dresses.) She continually sets the bar for weird, eccentric behavior every time she steps on stage, releases an album, or opens her mouth. But today, we saw Lady Gaga at her most unrecognizable: As a woman in love.

Today on Ellen DeGeneres' daytime talk show, Gaga flat-out gushed over her boyfriend, "Chicago Fire" star Taylor Kinney, about whom she hasn't said much during their two-year relationship. "At the end of the day, he's my best friend," Gaga confessed on the show. "Having your lover be your best friend - I mean, it's the best thing ever."

Gaga reveals how Kinney won her heart when he stole a kiss while the two were filming her video for her 2011 song, "You And I." "We were in the middle of this scene and I remember he kissed me and he wasn't scripted to kiss me," Gaga tells Ellen. "And I was sort of like, 'Uh, was that real or was that fake?' And he just really didn't say anything. And that was fine by me."

So how is it that Gaga is able to get along so well with a normal-looking guy who, as far as we know, has never stepped out in public wearing a dress made of some sort of foodstuff? Watch Showbiz Tonight on HLN tonight at 11 p.m. ET/PT to find out.
