Exclusive: Tony Dorsett’s son on dad's brain disease

In an exclusive interview with HLN’s Natasha Curry, the son of football legend Tony Dorsett says he’s worried that he could have the same brain disease as his father. Like his dad, Anthony Dorsett Jr. played several years in the NFL, and was involved in dozens of hard hits.

Dorsett says it was almost “refreshing” to learn that doctors have pinpointed the cause of his father’s memory loss as chronic traumatic encephalopathy, also known as CTE.

Dorsett says he’s also starting to see signs of CTE in himself. He says he intends to get tested for the disease, and he’s encouraging former NFL players to do the same thing.
