Dr. Martin MacNeill's adopted daughter Giselle MacNeill has been estranged from her family for most of her time been in the U.S., since she returned from Ukraine. After his wife's death in 2007, MacNeill sent Giselle back to Ukraine and stole her identity for his mistress, Gypsy. About one year later, Michele's sister went to get Giselle and she has been living in the U.S. ever since.

Giselle says her life at the MacNeill home was happy, but also very hard. She says after a few years, she was so detached from the MacNeills, that she no longer considered them her parents. Giselle opened up to HLN After Dark's Vinnie Politan in an exclusive interview about the trial, Dr. MacNeill, and what life was like in the MacNeill family home.
