Road Warriors: A cappella group wows America

  • Pentatonix won season 3 of NBC's 'The Sing Off'
  • The a cappella group loves to connect with fans on Twitter

Pentatonix wowed America and gained national attention when they won Season 3 of NBC’s "The Sing Off." Since then, the five-member a cappella group has taken the world by storm, both on the stage and online.

Scott Hoying, Kirstie Maldonado, Mitch Grassi, Avi Kaplan, and Kevin Olusola have traveled the country since their "Sing Off" victory. “Our body is our instrument, so we really have to take care of it,” says Kaplan. “We’ve never canceled a show,” says Hoying. It is a feat of which the group is very proud, and while each member has their own health routine while on tour, all of them agree that the key ingredient to a healthy voice is plenty of sleep.

After their television successes, Pentatonix turned to social media to grow their fan base. Whether they are on tour or in the studio, they spend their free time interacting with fans online. Most recently, their YouTube channel passed 1.6 million subscribers. Although these Road Warriors are constantly on the go, they don’t take their busy schedules for granted. Olusola speaks for the whole group when he says that “It’s such a blessing that we get to do this every single day.”

Pentatonix second studio album, PTX Volume 2, will be released on November 5.
