Celebrity trainer uses dogs to heal wounds of war

  • Tamar Geller has trained dogs for Oprah and Ellen DeGeneres
  • Geller is a former member of Israeli Army
  • She uses dogs to help veterans suffering from P.T.S.D.

Editor's note: This Veterans Day, join HLN for a special tribute to service dogs -- their courage and dedication are helping heal America's wounded heroes. Stories of Courage: K9s for Warriors premieres on November 11 at 7 p.m. ET.

As a former veteran of the Israeli Army, Tamar Geller knows how tough it can be to return to civilian life. After her service ended, she eventually moved to the United States and began working with dogs.

Entertainment Tonight: Drew Barrymore expecting baby no. 2!

She calls many celebrities, like Oprah and Ellen DeGeneres, her clients. But she also helps those who are suffering from the effects of post-traumatic stress disorder, and she helps them with dogs.

Watch the video to see the techniques Tamar uses and how they can help our American heroes.
