Miley Cyrus’ new “Bangerz” album is now number one on iTunes in 70 countries around the world. And she owes much of its success to record producer Sean Garrett who helped write and produce it. Showbiz Tonight just went one-on-one with Garrett and asked how he got Miley to team up with Britney Spears, who team up on the album for the addictive “SMS.”
“It was a great idea with me and my man Mike Will. We were in the studio and just talking about how big we could make this record,” Garrett tells Showbiz Tonight. “We went through a couple of different people when me, Miley and Mike was in the studio and we were thinking about who we should put on this record. And the first person we were thinking about, we said, nah, that could work. And then we said, why not Britney!”
Is Garrett on board with the over-the-top ways Miley has been promoting the album? Tune in to Showbiz Tonight at 11 p.m. ET/PT on HLN to find out.
