Bullied, beaten and brave teen inspires

  • Israel Price is a 7th grader who suffered a concussion after being bullied at middle school
  • Instead of spending his days in the classroom Israel now spends all his time in speech and physical therapy

Every day 160-thousand children stay home from school.  Afraid of being bullied or intimidated by other students.  We want to stop that.  Today is 'unity day 2013'.  The National Bullying Prevention Center is asking everyone to wear orange to raise awareness about kids targeting kids.  The mental and physical scars they are leaving are devastating.  We want you to meet Israel Price.  A 7th grader…smart…loves to sing.  But what happened to him will break your heart.  Kyra Phillips spoke to Israel and his mom Charleia Price. We contacted the school district and they said, "they do not comment on disciplinary matter." So far no charges, but the two bullies responsible for Israel's injuries have been expelled.
