Have you checked your child’s phone recently? You might be surprised to find out how many self-portraits they have of themselves in various situations. Once these photos are shared online and in apps, they’re called “selfies.” Many teens don’t seem to think twice about posting pictures from the shower, in their pajamas or in sexy poses.

Blogger Jenni Chiu from mommynanibooboo.com says kids are just mimicking what they see their parents are doing.
“We may not have a sexual overtone to our selfies, but the underlying reasons are still there - to show that we look good and to harvest validation from our friends,” she wrote.
