Stars' racial-profiling claim spurs debate

  • Actors Cherie Johnson and Dennis White were stopped by authorities in South Carolina
  • Stars claim they were harassed by a sheriff’s deputy

It's a story we first told you about on Showbiz Tonight, and now it has big stars talking too.

"Punky Brewster" and "Family Matters" star Cherie Johnson and her boyfriend, fellow actor Dennis White, were recently driving to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina when they were pulled over, handcuffed, and allegedly harassed by a Marion County, South Carolina, sheriff's deputy. Johnson and White claim their only crime was being black in South Carolina.

Actress and activist Rosario Dawson and E! News co-host Terrence Jenkins reveal their feelings about this controversy that has now gone viral.

Plus, tune in to Showbiz Tonight on HLN at 11 p.m. ET/PT to find out if Dawson and Jenkins think the deputy should be fired.
