Is Jodi Arias heading for a settlement?

NEED TO KNOW
  • A settlement conference is scheduled for October 24th
  • Arias was convicted of first-degree murder on May 8 for brutally killing Travis Alexander

Is Jodi Arias heading for a settlement?  It was just announced that a settlement conference is scheduled for October 24th.  Jodi Arias, her defense team and prosecutors will all meet to discuss a possible settlement.

Is this just standard procedure or could we actual see some kind of deal instead of a retrial of the penalty phase.  Jodi Arias was convicted of first-degree murder in the brutal killing of Travis Alexander and the jury decided the murder qualifies for the death penalty. But when it came to deciding life or death for Jodi, the jury was hung and could not decide.  The conviction will stand no matter what but a deal could be made that would take the death penalty off the table.

Jane Velez-Mitchell talks about the likelihood of a settlement with her panel of experts.
