President Obama probably didn't think anyone could hear him when he started talking about smoking at yesterday's U.N. meeting.
During a side moment with Maina Kiai, the U.N. Special Rapporteur for rights to freedom of peaceful assembly, the President said, “I hope you’ve quit smoking.”
Kiai replies, “Sometimes.”
Then there are a couple lines that we can’t quite make out followed by the President asserting that he has not smoked in 6 years.
His secret to staying off cigs?
‘I’m scared of my wife,” he says!
President Obama has admitted that he still smoked in 2009.
But friends say when he signed the health care bill in 2010, he went cold turkey.
