The girl who became known as ‘hiccup girl’ is now facing murder charges. In 2007, Jennifer Mee became famous for her chronic hiccups. Mee and her mother made the TV rounds as she hiccuped up to 50 times a minute.
But Mee, now 22 years old, is in the headlines for a much darker reason. She is facing murder charges for the killing of Shannon Griffin. Authorities say Mee and her two co-defendants lured Griffin to a vacant home in order to sell him pot. Prosecutors say they planned to rob him. But in an apparent struggle Griffin was shot and killed. Mee has been charged with first-degree murder.
