A petty officer whose wife was "barricaded in the office as shots were fired" Monday at the Navy Yard in Washington D.C. described the moments after she texted him. Justin Hartman said his wife said she heard shots in their office in Building 197.
He says she was stuck in her office for a while before a SWAT team came to the rescue. She is now with others being questioned by investigators about what they saw and heard in the building. Hartman said he is at Nationals Park, home of the Washington Nationals baseball team, where police have setup a site to reunite survivors with loved ones.
