Zimmerman wife's 911 call: 'He's going to shoot us’

NEED TO KNOW
  • Police say George Zimmerman's wife, Shellie, called 911
  • Authorities say he was in 'domestic altercation' with estranged wife, father-in-law

George Zimmerman was questioned Monday by police in Lake Mary, Florida, after an alleged domestic dispute -- and HLN has the 911 call.

Authorities say they responded to a "domestic altercation" involving Zimmerman, his estranged wife Shellie Zimmerman and his father-in-law.

Police say Shellie Zimmerman called 911, saying her husband was holed up in his vehicle with a gun.

"He’s in his car and he continually has his hand on his gun saying, 'Step closer and he’s going to shoot us,'" she told the dispatcher.

Shellie Zimmerman also said her husband punched her father in the nose and smashed her iPad and cut it with a pocket knife.

Police say a weapon was present but was not used.
