Boris Kodjoe: I don't want kids to grow up in fear

  • Actor Boris Kodjoe posed with son for Ebony cover 'We are Trayvon'
  • Kodjoe told Evening Express about wanting his children to embrace diversity

Hollywood hottie (and house husband) actor Boris Kodjoe was one of four groups to pose for the cover of Ebony Magazine, which pays tribute to Trayvon Martin in its September issue.

The "We are Trayvon" covers feature Kodjoe with his son, Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade and his two sons, Spike Lee and his son --  all with grey hoodies. One of the covers will also feature the Martin family.

Martin was shot and killed on February 26, 2012 by George Zimmerman. The former neighborhood watchman was acquitted earlier this year on second-degree murder and manslaughter charges.

Kodjoe says he and his wife, Nicole Ari Parker, are teaching their 8-year-old and 6-year-old about race. "We wanted to make sure they don't grow up in fear, but grow up with a notion about diversity, and how important it is to embrace diversity."

Kodjoe said it was those feelings that led him to pose for the cover.
