Sneiderman's friend: 'There was no affair'

  • Sneiderman pleaded not guilty to all charges in her case
  • Prosecutors believe she lied about having affair with boss who killed her husband

Andrea Sneiderman faces several charges in her trial related to her husband Rusty’s death, including perjury and making false statements to police.

Prosecutors say Andrea Sneiderman and her former boss Hemy Neuman were lovers and that she lied about their alleged relationship during Neuman’s trial, where he was found guilty but mentally ill in fatally shooting Rusty Sneiderman outside of an Atlanta-area day care in 2010. Sneiderman has denied allegations that she had an affair with Neuman.

On Monday night, Dr. Drew asked Andrea Sneidman’s friend Ryan Stansbury for his opinion on the matter.

He asserted, “There was no affair. She has never lied about anything. [Attorneys] may not have liked her answers, but she has never lied about anything.”

Under Georgia law, one conviction of perjury can carry five to 10 years in prison. Jury selection continues Tuesday morning.
