Frank Taaffe has been on television nightly vehemently defending his friend George Zimmerman who is on trial for second-degree murder in the death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin.
He was asked, “What’s in it for you?” Thursday night on Dr. Drew On Call.
“I don't have a dog in this fight,” he said. ” I didn't write a book … I have received zero dollars for any performance or any show I've ever been on. The best thing I get is a sandwich and a cab ride.”
He added, ‘My dog in this fight is to see this man who's been maliciously prosecuted for the last 17 months walk free. That's all I got. There ain’t no book deal.”
Zimmerman told authorities that he was pursuing Martin because of the rash of crimes in the area. Ultimately, the former neighborhood watch captain claims he was forced to kill Martin in self-defense during a confrontation with him on Feb, 26, 2012 in Sanford, FL.
