Did the dummy demo backfire?

The prosecution in the George Zimmerman trial hauled out a life-sized dummy during their cross-examination of defense witness, Dennis Root, a “use of force” expert.  But did that plan backfire on the prosecution?

Zimmerman, a former neighborhood watch captain, is charged with second-degree murder for shooting 17-year-old Martin on February 26, 2012. He told police he was pursuing Martin because there had been a rash of crime in the area. A conflict ensued, and Zimmerman said he was forced to kill Martin in self-defense.
