Prosecution star witness Rachel Jeantel and defense attorney Don West went back and forth Thursday in a grueling, five-hour cross-examination in the George Zimmerman trial.
The teen is key to the prosecution's case because phone records prove she was talking with Trayvon Martin as he walked home from the store and got into a fatal altercation with Zimmerman on Feb. 26, 2012.
When asked who started the fight, Jeantel explained that she figured it was Zimmerman who did, because Martin did not tell her he would call her back.
Earlier, Jeantel testified that Martin told her someone was following him, and she told him to run.
The defense says she has changed her story over time.
