Spitting mad! Police tase llama on the lam

NEED TO KNOW
  • Escaped llama wouldn't leave quietly with police
  • Animal spit in the face of the wranglers

Police in Tallahassee, Florida, had their hands full Saturday trying to capture an escaped llama.

When authorities finally corralled the llama, they tried to put it in a trailer. However, the 6-foot llama put up a fight, tussling and wrestling with police.

Authorities said they had to resort to use a taser to subdue the beast.

"I've been doing this 20 years and they said there is going to be a lot of excitement in this job, but no one ever told me I would get spit in the face by a llama and trampled by one," Deputy Drzewiecki told HLN affiliate WCTV.

WCTV reports the llama is back with his owner.
