Caryn Kelley won't be taking the stand to tell jurors what happened the night her boyfriend Phillip Peatross was shot to death -- she told the judge she was too emotional to testify. But her attorney did lay it all out in opening statements. You can watch part of it in the video above.

Kelley is currently on trial for manslaughter and faces 30 years in prison. She says Peatross pointed her gun to his head and accidentally shot himself as the two struggled for it. Prosecutors say it was Kelley who had her finger on the trigger.
