Track talk with Brad Keselowski

  • Defending Sprint Cup champ Brad Keselowski is accused of violating NASCAR's rear suspension rules
  • NASCAR has docked him 25 points in the standings
  • He goes into Sunday's race at Talladega in 6th place

Sprint Cup champ Brad Keselowski sat down this week with Robin Meade in HLN Studio H, and he did not shy away from the tough questions about NASCAR's 25-point penalty against him for having an unapproved part on his car in his last race.

“It’s certainly not an ideal situation, but my team’s really strong. We’ll fight through it,” he said.

Keselowski’s team still has an appeal that could reverse NASCAR’s penalty, but Morning Express viewer Sheila S. asked on Facebook how he’ll cope if the ruling stands.

“I’m going to look ahead,” he said ”I’m going to look ahead to this weekend at Talladega, it’s a track where we won at last year, and if you just win, those things take care of themselves.”

When we alerted viewers that Keselowski would be in the studio, his fans on Twitter immediately started ribbing him about his celebrity crush: Jennifer Love Hewitt.

What’s the deal with that? Let’s just say Keselowski says his sponsor, Miller Light, may have had something to do with it in a roundabout way.
