We've heard about companies offering a "carrot" to motivate you toward your weight and other health milestones -- but HLN's Jennifer Westhoven says she thinks this is the first time we've heard of a major employer giving workers "the stick."
CVS Caremark workers who don't get screened and disclose information about things like their weight and blood glucose levels will have to pay $600 a year out of their paycheck.
The drugstore chain tells the Boston Herald, "Our benefits program is evolving to help our colleagues take more responsibility for improving their health and managing health-associated costs."
But there's concern that companies doing this want to possibly weed out workers who cost too much. CVS says that's not the case, and the information won't be personally identifiable.
