The statistics are scary: Federal recalls of children's products are down to an eight year low yet deaths are up 200% since 2012. So who's looking out for you and your family? As it turns out there are 18 categories for durable infant and toddler products listed by the federal government, the Consumer Product Safety Commission regulates just four of them.
That means thousands of products aimed at the most vulnerable in America, our children, are not tested. Zero safety standards. Oftentimes it takes a child dying before the CPSC steps in and issues a recall.
