When court is done for the day, the conversation is only just beginning. Watch our new show, HLN After Dark: The Jodi Arias Trial, nightly at 10 pm ET on HLN.
Wednesday marks Day 18 of testimony from Jodi Arias. Jurors will have more questions to present and prosecutor Juan Martinez will get another chance to try to prove that she is lying to them.
Arias has testified that her ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander physically abused her and that he was a sexual deviant who was aroused by children.
The 32-year-old defendant claims though that she killed Alexander in self-defense in June of 2008 at his Mesa, Arizona home, even though she had given authorities other stories about the circumstances of his death. She faces the death penalty if convicted in her trial.
On Tuesday night, "Human Lie Detector" Janine Driver said she is taking personal offense to what Arias has been saying about being a battered woman.
“I’ve never said this on national television before … when I was about 23 years old, I dated a prominent attorney in Hartford, Connecticut and he beat the living daylights out of me and almost killed me. I remember, he was pounding as hard as he could. He was strangling me,” she told Dr. Drew.
