HLN is covering the Jodi Arias trial live gavel-to-gavel as it comes to its dramatic conclusion, beginning at 12:30 p.m. ET each day court is in session.
A friend of Jodi Arias rushes to the defense of Travis Alexander’s alleged murderer with a startling version of events. Nancy Grace has the very latest.
Bryan Carr, a friend who has been visiting Arias in jail, told Nancy Grace Monday that he believes Travis Alexander may have been killed by Mormons in what he described as a "blood atonement" sacrifice intended to wash away his sins.
Carr claimed Arias has been lying about what really happened on June 4, 2008 to protect her family.
Arias has acknowledged on the witness stand that she was the one who shot and stabbed Alexander, testifying that she did so in self-defense.
Watch Nancy Grace reporting from Arizona all this week at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. ET on HLN .
