Transgender first-grader yanked from school

The parents of a Denver first-grader who was born a boy but identifies as a girl took her out of school.

It started when Eagleside Elementary said Coy Mathis had to stop using the girl's bathroom.

Now, a transgender group has filed a complaint against the school district.

Coy's mom says no one complained in kindergarten.

But the school says it's worried about the effects on Coy and other students as the child grows older.
