On the fifth and final day of cross-examination, Jodi Arias cracked on the stand while being questioned by prosecutor Juan Martinez.
At one point during an intense exchange, Martinez asked her, "Did you cry when you were stabbing [Travis Alexander]?" Jodi answered the tough questions sobbing with her head down.
However, Arias continues to claim self-defense in the brutal slaying -- but during direct examination last week, she said she couldn’t remember much about the day Alexander died, including the moments that she stabbed him 29 times.
On Thursday night, HLN’s Dr. Drew and his special guests took a few moments to discuss how real they thought Arias’ tears were during the day’s testimony.
“When she got cornered, I think she was just in a panic when she was crying,” Dr. Drew told CNN’S Anderson Cooper.
Cooper added, “She'd start crying and try to kind of throw the scent off,” referring to the moment Arias was confronted with the e-mail she wrote to Alexander after his death.
Criminologist Casey Jordan, Ph.D. continued, "The cat in the corner is absolutely what brought out the worst in her today. [Martinez] got under her skin and got the worst of her and when she was in the corner and there was nowhere else to go, the jig was up.”
Dr. Drew On Call airs Monday through Wednesday on HLN at 9 p.m. ET. Follow the show on Facebook and Twitter @DrDrewHLN.
