Man who gave Travis' eulogy: Here's what Jodi said to me

Jodi Arias has accused ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander of a number of things since she has taken the stand, including physical assault and bullying her at times.

Arias and her attorneys claim though she ultimately killed Alexander in self-defense, even though she had given authorities other stories about his death in the past.

After Alexander’s body was found in June of 2008 at his Mesa, Arizona home, Arias told police she was not involved in his killing. She later told investigators that she witnessed two intruders break in and kill him. Eventually, Arias said she killed Alexander in self-defense.

On Wednesday night, HLN’s Dr. Drew talked to Aaron Mortensen, the man who gave the eulogy at Alexander’s memorial, about the feelings he's having during this death penalty murder trial

“Travis was a good person,” he said. “He wasn't a violent or angry person -- so I guess I'm surprised that this is the side that is being presented because this isn't the person that I knew.”

Dr. Drew then asked him what kind of exchange he had with Arias at the memorial.

“She was tearful and she asked me for a copy of the pictures and the words that I said, and she was painting a picture of a friend in mourning and I guess it just makes me think that she has talents as a manipulator,” Mortensen said.

He added, "At the time I didn't know, but now it makes me feel very vulnerable to the situation.”

Dr. Drew On Call airs Monday through Wednesday on HLN at 9 p.m. ET.  Follow the show on Facebook and Twitter @DrDrewHLN
