Jodi Arias has accused ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander of a number of things since she has taken the stand, including physical assault and bullying her at times.
Arias and her attorneys claim though she ultimately killed Alexander in self-defense, even though she had given authorities other stories about his death in the past.
After Alexander’s body was found in June of 2008 at his Mesa, Arizona home, Arias told police she was not involved in his killing. She later told investigators that she witnessed two intruders break in and kill him. Eventually, Arias said she killed Alexander in self-defense.
On Wednesday night, HLN’s Dr. Drew talked to one of the most controversial and colorful witnesses in the trial, Gus Searcy, who’s been described as Arias’ mentor. In the video clip above, he reveals what he says he couldn’t talk about when he took the stand.
Dr. Drew On Call airs Monday through Wednesday on HLN at 9 p.m. ET. Follow the show on Facebook and Twitter @DrDrewHLN.
