Heather Armstrong created dooce.com in 2001 as a single woman living in Los Angeles. Her website traffic exploded when she got fired for writing about her boss, and the term "getting dooced" -- doing something online that gets you fired -- has been a question on Jeopardy and in Trivial Pursuit. She now blogs about her two daughters and two dogs, life in Salt Lake City, and fashion. Her recent divorce made national headlines.
