Rising through the ranks of the country music scene is a tough road to travel. Crooner Craig Campbell has logged many miles on that road and has picked up some tricks and interesting habits along the way. He never leaves home without coffee and French vanilla creamer for fuel and his own pillow and blanket to keep some semblance of a home away from home.
Campbell is crisscrossing the country currently, promoting his upcoming sophomore album and new single, “Outta My Head.” Nowadays he rides in style on a tour bus, but that wasn’t always the case.
“I had my own band before I moved to Nashville and we didn’t travel in a bus," Campbell recalls, "That’s the true road warriors, when you’re five guys piled up in a Chevy van pulling a trailer going from town to town, having to pay for your own hotel rooms and set up your own PA every show. Now that’s the true hard work which makes me appreciate this.”
