Salute is from a proud uncle to his nephew whom he calls "yard dawg."
Ricky Jackson says, his nephew, Sergeant Kevin Richburg is in Afghanistan right now.
When Kevin was younger, he was called "bird dog" but his uncle thought… Kevin was tougher than that. So he changed his nickname to "yard dawg."
He says he wants Kevin to know the whole family loves him and misses him.
