After the second day of Jodi Arias' testimony in her own murder trial, HLN’s Dr. Drew spoke exclusively with a woman Tuesday night who says she used to work with Arias at a restaurant years ago.
Gayla Lynch painted a very different picture of the woman who killed her ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander.
“[Some people] don't know the Jodi that I knew,” Lynch said. “She loves people and believes the best in them. [She’s] not the kind of person that would want to hurt anyone. She trusted everyone.”
Lynch added, “I never knew her to be a stalker or even get angry with people. She didn't get angry -- always very wholesome -- very sweet.”
Arias says she killed Alexander in self-defense, even though she has given authorities other stories about his death.
After Alexander’s body was found in June of 2008 at his Mesa, Arizona home, Arias told police she was not involved in his killing. She later told investigators that she witnessed two intruders break in and kill him. Eventually, Arias said she killed Alexander in self-defense.
Arias continues to testify in her own defense this week with jaw-dropping confessions, including suicide plans and allegations of abuse at the hands of her parents.
