Meet Mary Hall: She started The Recessionista -- a blog that highlights good deals on fashion, travel, food and wine. Back in 2008, when the U.S. economy began to go downhill, Mary says she had a feeling it would change the way we shop. And she was right!
Everyone was looking for deals on nearly everything, so Mary decided to show women how to find luxury clothing brands at affordable prices. She also taught her readers how to recognize a quality deal. Mary says just because a designer starts a budget collection, that doesn't necessarily mean it's worth buying!
Mary went from running a free blog that highlights shopping deals to covering New York Fashion Week.
