Jodi Arias' attorneys argue she killed her ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander in self-defense, even though Arias has given authorities other stories about his death.
After Alexander’s body was found in June of 2008 at his Mesa, Arizona, home, Arias told police she was not involved in his killing. She later told investigators that she witnessed two intruders break in and kill him. Eventually, her lawyers said she killed Alexander in self-defense.
But on Tuesday night’s edition of Dr. Drew On Call, the panel took a closer look at Arias’ courtroom appearance. Has she been imitating her attorney?
“She appears to sort of adapt her affect,” Dr. Drew said.
Psychologist Cheryl Arutt added, “I see somebody who is transforming herself into whoever is the most important person in her life at the moment.”
