Casey Anthony filed for bankruptcy protection from creditors last Friday.
According to the voluntary petition filed on her behalf, she owes nearly $800,000 to dozens of creditors.
Her debtors, according to court documents, include George and Cindy Anthony, former state prosecutor Jeff Ashton, her former defense attorney Jose Baez, and the State of Florida.
On Monday night, HLN’s Dr. Drew asked Baez for comment concerning her financial issues.
“I don't have a waiver from Casey to discuss her finances,” Baez said. He added, “She gave me a certain waiver at discussing her case, but as it relates to this stuff, unfortunately, I really can't discuss it because I'm not at liberty to.”
Although a jury acquitted Anthony of all the charges related to her daughter Caylee’s death, she was convicted on four counts of lying to law enforcement.
Just before Anthony filed for bankruptcy last week, an appeals court overturned two of the four convictions.
Anthony's petition indicates that she’s been unemployed for four years and her only income over the past three years has been “non-monetary gifts and gift cards from various unrelated third parties,” of an unknown value.
