The Small Business Shoutout is something we're committed to doing here at Making it in America, because people who are working for a better life -- and for a better America -- is what we're all about!
We're talking about people like Lawson Nickol and his son BJ. Lawson was proud to work for a U.S.A. made blue jean company, but when he discovered that the company had begun outsourcing some of its products to Mexico, he decided it was time for change. So Lawson started the All American Clothing Co. with his son BJ and his wife Mary Ann. The company is a jean manufacturer and online retailer of clothing and accessories that are made in America.
The Nickols' goal was to support American families and jobs by producing high quality clothes here at home, and at a price people could afford. The company now has 12 employees and supports 11,000 American farmers.
And here's a cool fact about the company: The All American Clothing Co. website has a way for customers to trace their U.S.A. made jeans back to the American farmer who grew the cotton!
